Low vision products

Conventional lenses or contact lenses are mostly not sufficient for the correction of simultaneous visual impairments. Customers require low-vision devices that address vision issues at all distances. ZEISS low-vision solutions offer the same wearing comfort as standard spectacle lenses and leave the hands of the wearer free, unlike electronic devices:

  • Galilean Telescopic Spectacles: G1.8, G2.2
  • Keplerian Telescopic Spectacles: K4 family
  • Magnification of distant objects: G2 Bioptics

All of these products address the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals. It assists in many daily tasks by combining the comfort of regular wearable spectacles with the benefits of telescopic devices. For those suffering from low vision this can be a big step towards increased independence.

ZEISS Telescopic Glasses for Low Vision

Flexibility for near- and far focussing.

Improved vision can partly be achieved by the use of telescopic glasses into which magnifying optical systems have been integrated. These are in effect "mini-telescopes" that facilitate better distance vision and, via object-side clip-on lenses, also address intermediate- and/or near-distance vision concerns.
