The ZEISS Hunting App – Now Social

New features make it even easier to organize day-to-day hunting activities with friends

Oberkochen/Germany | 29 January 2020 | Consumer Products

New features have been added to the ZEISS Hunting app to make day-to-day hunting activities with friends even easier. The free app allows users to create a profile and connect with their friends. Starting with version 3.3, users are now able to quickly share entries from their hunting diary, ballistics and equipment with friends or custom groups. All entries appear well-arranged in the newsfeed and can be commented or liked.

Always Keep an Eye on Your Hunting Grounds – Together

The new social functionality makes it even easier to organize and manage shared duties within a specific hunting ground. Simply use the Hunting Ground manager to draw boundaries on an interactive map, mark relevant POIs such as raised hides, feeding stations, and game cameras, and ensure all of the relevant hunters work together in one hunting ground. Every hunter in a particular hunting ground can access information and news at any time – either in the field via smartphone or tablet (and supported by practical GPS functions) or very conveniently on their desktop computer at home. As a result, the ZEISS Hunting app gives every hunter a real-time overview of activities and other events in their hunting ground.

The app's other features – like a ballistics calculator, hunting diary, weather forecast, and hunting equipment inventory – allow hunters to conveniently organize and document their day. The most important information is always at your fingertips, leaving more time to focus on hunting and nature. What’s more, the app communicates with the laser rangefinder ZEISS Victory RF via Bluetooth, thus enabling precise shots at all distances.
