A Day in Istanbul

A sumptuous breakfast is not for Volkan. This applies both at home and when traveling. A cup of tea or coffee is enough for him. This gets him going and allows him to think through the day ahead.

Volkan enjoys traveling through his country. He also takes time to enjoy the beauty of Istanbul on his way to customers in the morning.

The researchers at Bezmialem Vakif University are delighted by Volkan‘s visit. He will explain to them how they can make even better use of ZEISS microscopes for their medical and histological work. Volkan likes having this direct contact.

The ZEISS Sigma scanning electron microscope (SEM) works with powerful software. Volkan shows a researcher how she can get even more out of the microscope images digitally and delve deeper into the smallest structures.

Good microscopy requires meticulous, professional preparation of the sample to be examined. Volkan is explaining how best to work with a sample holder with nine slots.

Volkan is really looking forward to his evening walk. He explores the city on the Bosphorus like a tourist when he‘s out and about in Istanbul. When he is at home in Ankara, he likes to go with his wife for a walk around his neighborhood.
