Discover Even More Outdoors With the New ZEISS Victory SF 32

Optics manufacturer expands its line of ZEISS Victory SF binoculars

Oberkochen/Germany | 6 March 2020 | ZEISS Consumer Products

ZEISS is presenting the ZEISS Victory SF 32, the latest addition to its SF line of binoculars. With even better clarity, greater color accuracy and optimized ergonomics, these binoculars are the perfect companion for nature watchers who demand the best, even when viewing for long periods. They make it possible to discover more moments and details in nature.

“Every passionate nature and bird-watcher knows that extraordinary moments outdoors sometimes take time to reveal their full potential,” says Tammo Lüken, head of product management for nature observation and hunting at ZEISS. That is why they need binoculars that are compact, lightweight, and at the same time, offer outstanding clarity. “With its exceptionally wide field of view and perfect ergonomics, the ZEISS Victory SF 32 helps nature observers pursue their passion – even when you hold your binoculars in your hands during prolonged periods of observation,” Lüken continues.

Easily Spot Every Detail With a 155-Meter Field of View

The ZEISS Victory SF 32 offers an exceptionally wide field of view, and at up to 155 meters, sets new standards in nature observation. It only takes 1.6 revolutions of the focus wheel to adjust from infinity to the minimum focusing distance of 1.95 meters, meaning the binoculars offer the perfect balance between fast and highly precise focusing. “Thanks to the unsurpassed image quality with high light transmission, the enormous field of view, and the SmartFocus concept, nature lovers can easily discover birds in the vast expanse of nature, focus on them even more precisely, and identify them more quickly,” explains Lüken. The wide field of view makes it even easier to follow a bird in flight, for example, and the unparalleled sharpness makes it easier to identify even small details, which are often critical to correctly identifying its species.

The ZEISS Victory SF 32 features the unique ErgoBalance concept already well-known from other models in the SF line of binoculars, in which the center of gravity is shifted towards the eyepiece, making long-term observation extremely light, ergonomic, and fatigue-free.

The British ornithologist and conservationist, Richard Porter, who was one of the first to test the ZEISS Victory SF 32 binoculars, was hugely enthusiastic: “The binoculars were beautifully balanced, with exceptional optics. I was left in no doubt that they would immediately become an essential part of my birdwatching armoury. With the Victory SF 32s, I was able to react instinctively. In all situations – coast, marsh, reedbed, woodland – I found that even the most elusive birds were easy to follow – and identify”. As a lifelong birder, Porter knows only too well that “Sometimes it is only small features in the plumage that make the crucial difference in being able to precisely identify a species. Such challenges in bird identification do not allow for a compromise in optics.” To achieve this, the binoculars are equipped with the Ultra-FL concept developed by ZEISS, a system of fluoride-containing SCHOTT lenses that reduces color fringing, increases contrast, and guarantees the highest color imaging quality.
