The new TORUS® Ultrasonic Aspirator from ZEISS is designed for tissue removal throughout cranial and spinal procedures, combining three tissue removal modes in one single device: Ultrasonic ablation of soft and fibrous tissue, ultrasonic bone cutting, and ultrasonic bone dissection using torsional motion technology.

Fibrous tissue removal

with longitudinal motion

ZEISS TORUS Ultrasonic Aspirator is equipped with longitudinal motion for removal of fibrous and soft tissue. When the Tissue Adapt mode is applied, ZEISS TORUS can control the power being applied through the angled longitudinal handpiece which is useful when dissecting or operating around critical structures.

Bone removal

with pure torsional motion

ZEISS TORUS Ultrasonic Aspirator includes two bone removal modes. One-directional movement of the ZEISS TORUS torsional bone rasp features a proprietary torsional mechanism designed to support controlled bone interaction within the surgical field. The ultrasonic bone knife with longitudinal motion supports ultrasonic bone cutting.

with ZEISS KINEVO 900 S

ZEISS TORUS Ultrasonic Aspirator is designed to integrate with ZEISS KINEVO 900 S visualization system, enabling the display of system parameters during the procedure directly in the microscope’s field-of-view.
