ZEISS installed a two-channel VELVET LED fulldome system in Gangseo-gu end of 2022.

Gangseo-gu is one of 25 districts of Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, located on the western urban edge with a population of over 550 thousand people. ZEISS has equipped the new planetarium at the "Gangseo Astronomy and Space Science Museum" with digital projection technology end of 2022. The system in the 10 m dome comprises two ZEISS VELVET LED projectors for fulldome displays.

VELVET LED projectors inspire with their high-contrast image and are the only product on the market to offer a true black background that ensures the experience of an unforgettably beautiful and lifelike starry sky. A starry sky that arouses curiosity about the secrets of our cosmic home and the mysteries of deep space. The included ZEISS UNIVIEW software allows visitors to take interactive journeys into the universe starting from Earth to the limits of the observable universe. ZEISS also supplied some planetarium shows along with the system.

The museum will offer its visitors numerous exhibitions on astronomy and space science. The museum also plans public sky observations.
