About this show

The history of radio telescopes began about a hundred years ago when Karl Jansky accidentally detected radio signals coming from the center of the Milky Way. Grote Reber built the first radio telescope, creating a radio map of the universe, which led to the discovery of new celestial objects such as pulsars and quasars. Cosmic Microwave Background radiation was also discovered through radio observations, serving as decisive evidence for the Big Bang theory. Now, the "Event Horizon Telescope" project, which connects telescopes around the world, has directly captured an image of a black hole.
Discover the world of radio telescopes, which view the universe in invisible light.
