ZEN Blue Software: Mastering Modules

This workshop will provide a walk-through of all aspects of ZEN Blue software platform from image acquisition, image processing to image analysis. This is a four-hour virtual session broadcasted from the ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center (ZMCC) in Dublin, CA. It is highly recommended for attendees of the workshop have access to ZEN Blue software if they would like to 'click along' with the instructor. A link to download the software will be provided upon registration.

Topics that will be covered in this workshop include:

ZEN Lite overview

Image acquisition including Tiles & Positions

ZEN Connect and Direct Processing

Image processing methods such as stitching, deconvolution, MIP

Image Analysis Wizard

ZEISS arivis Cloud segmentation and implementation on ZEN

Who should attend?

· Existing users of ZEISS Instruments that use ZEN Blue, users that have or want to learn more about advanced ZEN Blue modules such as Direct Processing, Zen Connect, BioApps, arivis cloud machine learning techniques, and users of ZEN Lite who want to brush up on basics.

· Infrequent users looking for a refresher on basic and advanced techniques

· Lab managers or technicians looking to improve their own skill level to better support and/or train other users of the instrument

Learning Objectives after completion of this workshop, attendees should:

· Possess an improved understanding and use of the available modules on ZEN Blue software

· Be connected with the North American Applications team who can support them as they work towards utilizing the ZEN software to its best potential

Presented By Amita Gorur, Ph.D. Senior Applications Scientist

Amita has been with ZEISS for 7 years and is responsible for Widefield, Automated Imaging platforms (Axioscan 7 and Celldiscoverer 7) and the Cryo Confocal system at the ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center, Bay Area. With over 15 years of microscopy experience working on projects imaging microbial biofilms, medical implants, and intracellular transport vesicles, there is never a dull day with recent samples spanning chocolate fudge, cheese wrappers and rock sections! Amita has a Masters in Integrated Biology and holds a PhD in Comparative Biochemistry from University of California, Berkeley.

ZEN Microscopy Software

Every ZEISS imaging system comes with ZEN software installed as the universal user interface. ZEN provides the capabilities to acquire and analyze images, vizualize big data, design multi-dimensional workflows, and more.
