The Model V projection planetarium manufactured by Carl Zeiss in Oberkochen was primarily put into service in the 1960s. It differs from its predecessor, Model IV, in its extended presentation possibilities. Some projection systems were improved, others, such as the projectors for clouds and altitude circles, were added. Projectors of this type are still in service in some planetariums.
