About this show

The Moon orbits the Earth in a cycle of about one month and often causes special astronomical phenomena when it coincides with the Sun or the planets. The most typical example is a solar eclipse, where the moon blocks the sun. Then there are lunar eclipses, when the Moon enters the Earth's shadow. In addition, there are also lunar occultations of Venus or Saturn. To learn about and experience these astronomical phenomena, this show uses real film images and computer graphics.

Experience the wonders of solar and lunar eclipses in the planetarium. This show was produced with real images captured by world-class astrophotographers.
