Brent McCardle currently serves as the Senior Technical Sales & Education Specialist for ZEISS in the US. Brent has been in the optical industry for 40 years and with ZEISS for over 10 years. He is certified as a Master Optician by the American Board of Opticianry, NCLE certified by the National Contact Lens Examiners, a North Carolina Licensed Dispensing Optician and Kentucky Licensed Ophthalmic Dispenser.

He participates on ISO technical lens committee and is Co-Chair of ASC Z80 SC1 committee.
His role with ZEISS provides him the opportunity to collaborate on new product and innovations within the global core training team and to work closely with the training and education of eyecare professionals.

Kathy Shiller is the Manager of Content Development & Internal Training for ZEISS Vision Care in the United States. With more than 37 years of experience in the optical industry and five years with ZEISS Vision Care, Kathy brings extensive knowledge, practical expertise, and a strong commitment to professional education. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and is recognized for her ability to translate complex optical concepts into meaningful, accessible learning experiences.

In her role, Kathy supports the development and delivery of internal training programs, product education, and resources that help teams and eyecare professionals stay informed about new ZEISS innovations. Her work reflects a passion for advancing knowledge, supporting professional growth, and contributing to the continued success of ZEISS Vision Care.

John Nolan is a Technical Sales and Education Specialist with ZEISS Vision, where he partners with eyecare professionals and their teams to support education and training on ZEISS lens technologies, coatings, and patient benefits. In his role, he works directly with practices to help accounts and staff build confidence in product knowledge, patient conversations, and successful adoption of ZEISS solutions, including innovations such as ClearMind.

John brings more than 12 years of optical industry experience as a Board-Certified Optician and Optometric Technician in a boutique optical setting. Throughout that time, he helped patients navigate lens choices, understand product features and benefits, and make informed decisions based on their lifestyle and visual needs. That hands-on experience gives him a practical understanding of the everyday needs of optometrists, opticians, optical lab teams, and practice management professionals.

In addition to his optical background, John brings extensive experience in training, coaching, retail sales, management, and operations. Prior to joining ZEISS in June 2026, he served as a technical trainer supporting customer experience and frontline performance, where he designed and delivered education, coached team members, and developed tools to improve communication and consistency. This combination of real-world optical expertise and adult learning experience allows him to translate technical product information into clear, relevant guidance that helps practices support both staff success and patient satisfaction.
