Making a difference in supermicrosurgery

with ZEISS PENTERO 800 S

Looking for an excellent visualization system specifically developed for reconstructive surgery?

Here it is!

During reconstructive surgery, you need to detect and visualize smallest structures, often measuring less than 0.5 mm, which could not be manipulated previously. To perform procedures at submillimeter level, ZEISS PENTERO 800 S is your tool of choice. Especially developed for supermicrosurgery, it provides you with extended optical capabilities, including highest resolution. Alongside the Resolution Enhancer, it features ZoomMemory, to quickly switch between different zoom levels, as well as intraoperative fluorescence imaging with ZEISS INFRARED 800 – supporting your clinical decisions during complex procedures. In addition, the Advanced Visualization System provides a multitude of digital options to assist you during and after surgery, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience outstanding optical clarity in supermicrosurgery

with the Resolution Enhancer

Experience refined resolution

for an unprecedented level of surgical precision

When performing surgical procedures on delicate anatomical structures, such as vascularized lymph node transfers (VLNT) or lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA), even the smallest details can make a significant difference.
ZEISS PENTERO 800 S enhances your confidence in performing such procedures by delivering additional clarity at the submillimeter level. To reliably visualize even the finest structures at high magnification levels, bright and outstanding image quality without blurring effects is essential. All these requirements are met by the Resolution Enhancer of ZEISS PENTERO 800 S. Its optimized ratio between a high level of resolution and matching magnification allows you to zoom in closer on the application while increasing the image quality.

Attach the “mini” microscope

and benefit from magnification levels of more than 60x

Simply attach the unique Resolution Enhancer to the microscope head and instantly get higher magnification of almost 40x with higher resolution of minimum 120 lp/mm. The combination with the 3-step magnification changer even allows extended magnification levels of more than 60x.

The Resolution Enhancer from ZEISS is exclusively available for ZEISS PENTERO 800 S. It has been specifically developed to support you in the most demanding applications in reconstructive surgery. Acting as an additional “mini” microscope, you can mount the Resolution Enhancer on ZEISS PENTERO 800 S when additional resolution and magnification are required.

  • 120 lp/mm

of resolution for optical clarity even at high magnification levels.

  • More than 60x

magnification to visualize smallest anatomical details.

Identify, assess, and check vessels

with ZEISS INFRARED 800

Intraoperative fluorescence imaging

in reconstructive surgery

Ensuring drainage and blood supply to the tissue flaps are critical success factors in advanced reconstructive applications. Consequently, these procedures rely heavily on intraoperative visual feedback on flow to support immediate decision-making.
The microscope-integrated indocyanine green (ICG) imaging technology INFRARED 800 from ZEISS enables real-time fluorescence-assisted assessment of flow after an anastomosis has been created.

Real-time assessment of flow

to simplify your surgical workflow

In digital and optical modes, ZEISS PENTERO 800 supports intraoperative decision-making. Its ZEISS INFRARED 800 option visualizes vascular patency and perfusion of grafted tissue in the ocular and on the monitors. By visualizing vascular patency and perfusion of the grafted tissue when needed, ZEISS INFRARED 800 supports smooth surgical workflows in advanced reconstructive procedures.

Switch between different zoom levels

with ZoomMemory

Supercharge your efficiency

in delicate stitching procedures

When performing lymphaticovenous anastomoses in reconstructive surgery, the ZoomMemory function of ZEISS PENTERO 800 S allows you to simply switch back and forth between the current zoom level and higher zoom with just one touch of the footswitch. This enables you to keep your hands and focus on the surgical instruments while zooming in and out frequently during stitching procedures.

Switch between macro and micro view

while sewing a lymphatic anastomosis

When quickly switching between two zoom levels using ZoomMemory, the macro view provides a better overview and helps when attaching the needle or tying the knot. A high magnification level (micro view) is useful for placing the stitch precisely and checking the quality of the knot at the end.
