SUMMARY

Lymphovenous anastomoses for very early case of secondary lymphedema on the left leg after prostate cancer

This is a very early case of secondary lymphedema following prostate cancer on the left leg. Expected conditions were good, and the preoperative ICG scan the day before surgery showed many linear lymphatics. However, at the height of the knee, all the lymphatics were already sclerosed. More distal on the lower leg conditions were excellent. Initially there was some backflow of venous blood into the lymphatics, but after several revisions, this phenomenon was no longer observed.
