Multimodal Microscopy Workshop

The event, organized in collaboration with the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano, will consist of a workshop dedicated to professors, researchers, PhD students, and graduate students involved in the micro- and nanoscale characterization of materials used in various energy research fields. Key application areas include materials for photovoltaics, batteries, catalysis, and nuclear technologies.

The workshop will feature oral presentations by internationally recognized experts, both from within and outside the Politecnico, who will share the latest technological advances and case studies in microscopy and image analysis. Special focus will be given to artificial intelligence applications for identifying features of interest in microscopy data and for managing 2D, 3D, and multidimensional/multimodal datasets.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to visit the microscopy laboratories located in the EN:lab building of the Department of Energy, experiencing first-hand existing facilities as well as additional setups made available for the occasion in collaboration with ZEISS.
