ASTERION is designed as an opto-mechanical hybrid component and shines with exactly what digital projections cannot: with stars, clear and bright, point-like and in natural gradation with a Milky Way that is particularly realistic to the eye. ASTERION puts advanced opto-mechanical technology into a miniaturized form and creates the brightest starry sky with the smallest star ball in its class. It allows virtually no obstruction to the visitors. The ASTERION Star Ball allows presenters to move more quickly between time and location than any other star ball. ASTERION is designed for domes between 8 m and 18 m in diameter, with a tilt of up to 30 degrees.

The image shows the Star Ball and its louvre which avoids projections below the dome horizon.
