The historical photograph of the planetarium hall was taken in November 1956 when it reopened. The planetarium was closed for about two years for renovation works. The screen used as a projection surface was replaced by an aluminum dome. With interruptions due to the war, the first 1930 projection unit, a Model II, completed all planetarium performances until 1968, when it was replaced by a Model IV planetarium projector from ZEISS.
