Before the procedure, your eyes are numbed with eye drops to ensure a comfortable treatment. During the surgery, you simply lie back, relax, and follow your doctorās instructions. The laser part of the surgery takes less than 10 seconds for myopia and less than 13 seconds for hyperopia³. The entire procedure, including the removal of the corneal tissue, can be completed within 10 minutes.

As with all surgical procedures, you may experience side effects after your surgery. However, vision correction with ZEISS SMILE pro is designed to be minimally invasive. Your surgeon needs to create a small, keyhole opening in your eye. The upper layers of the cornea remain virtually unaffected, which means side effects such as dry eyes are less compared to a LASIK treatment.

Follow your surgeonās instructions regarding post-op medication and any restrictions. During the healing process, you should avoid rubbing your eyes.
