Every ZEISS PerformaSun lens is designed with ZEISS SpectraEQ ™ technology to filter the dominant wavelengths you encounter in a given environment.

The result is a lens that not just darker, but tuned for the colors and light conditions of your environment with up to 99% polarization to maximize glare reduction, enhance contrast and color perception.

    Features

    • Field: The lens for golfers, gardeners, and sideline parents. Tuned for sunny days surrounded by green so you can read the green, track the ball, or see the game.
    • Court: The lens for tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and paddle. The only PerformaSun lens with intentionally reduced polarization so a brightly colored ball stays visible while you're tracking it at speed.
    • Trail: The lens for trail runners, hikers, and mountain bikers. Engineered to keep terrain sharp when light is changing every few seconds in mixed sun and shade.

  • SpectraEQ™ is the engineering behind ZEISS PerformaSun. Each lens filters the dominant wavelengths you encounter in a specific environment so the colors and contrast in your scene look natural for what you're doing.

  • Yes. All ZEISS PerformaSun lenses are available in prescription. Your eye care professional can prescribe these in progressives, anti-fatigue, or single vision.

  • Yes. ZEISS has lens designs that compensate for the curve of wrapped sport frames. Your eye care professional can confirm the right fit when ordering.

  • Each ZEISS PerformaSun option automatically comes with the best mirror tuned for the light conditions of that activity. To change the base color or mirror we recommend you order our polarized lenses instead of ZEISS PerformaSun

  • ZEISS LightPro Court is launching in late 2026.

  • Standard polarized lenses cut basic glare and treat every environment the same. PerformaSun adds environment-specific tints and mirrors and they can be made in your prescription.

     

  • Pricing varies by prescription, lens design, frame and provider. Contact an eye care provider that carries ZEISS lenses for a quote.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Deep Water

    On the open ocean or walking along the beach. Bright sunlight, high glare. Predominance of blue colors from the environment. Ideal for those with beach lifestyle or ocean fishing.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Inshore Water

    On the water but not open ocean. Mixed blue and green color hues from the water, and green vegetation on the shore.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Fresh Water

    For lower light levels – could be a freshwater lake or streams. Perhaps fishing or kayaking near dawn or dusk, or in shady mountain areas with lower levels of sunlight

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Field

    In full sun, green surroundings whether it be a sports field, golf course, or even walking in your green neighborhood, in your green garden. Ideal for those with lots of green in their outdoor world.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Trail

    Walking, biking, and running in environments with both green and brown colors. In and out of sun and dappled shady conditions. Ideal for those who spend time in and out of forests and trees.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun LightPro™ Court

    Optimized for depth perception – for better on court performance. Tennis, basketball, pickleball or paddleball. Watching or playing. Blue and green court surfaces are typical, bright colored balls must be seen quickly.

  • ZEISS PerformaSun Polarized Drive

    Designed for driving safety in an enclosed car. Sitting in shade, but looking into glare. Grey from the road’s asphalt, blue sky, reflections from white lines + street signs, mixed color hues from surrounds.

    Design for those who spend time on the road. Running, Walking, Cycling, E-biking. Bright sunlight prevails, a lot of asphalt, no shade.

    Glasses that can be seen in bluish light and have ZEISS lenses with BlueGuard lens material. Only a very reduced bluish reflection is visible on the lenses.

    ZEISS DuraVision BlueProtect is a good lens coating for computer use – but we have a better solution for you: our ZEISS BlueGuard lens material offers even more protection and up to 50% fewer reflections. Choose any other ZEISS coating and look better on your video calls.
