Intraoperative radiotherapy after resection of brain metastases from the perspective of a neurosurgeon and a radiation oncologist

In this clinical talk, Oliver Ganslandt, MD and Marc Münter, MD speak about intraoperative radiotherapy after resection of brain metastases, focusing on rationale and clinical workflow while presenting illustrative case studies.

In the first part, Oliver Ganslandt introduces intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) from a neurosurgeon´s perspective, provides insights from the latest clinical data and points out the main advantages of IORT for his treatment workflows applied in the clinical practice. In the second part, Marc Münter presents some illustrative cases and shares his experience with IORT for brain metastases at the Katharinenhospital Stuttgart, Germany. The talk is followed by a Q&A session with both speakers.
