Key benefits of DORC EVA NEXUS combined

Performance and control with VacuFlow VTi

At the heart of DORC EVA NEXUS is VacuFlow VTi – an advanced fluidics technology powered by Valve Timing Intelligence, delivering precise, pulsation‑free flow or fast, responsive vacuum.

  • Vacuum mode: Fast rise times and exceptional efficiency. Use vacuum mode for efficient vitreous removal, and to easily draw nucleus fragments to the tip.
  • Flow mode: Control the flow to 0.1 ml/min accuracy. Use flow mode for precise aspiration near a mobile retina, and for controlled removal of nucleus fragments.

Stability with SMART IOP for vitreoretinal and cataract surgery

Unique to DORC EVA NEXUS, SMART IOP automatically compensates for pressure losses and is designed to provide constant intraoperative stability in the anterior and posterior segments. SMART IOP adjusts the irrigation/infusion pressure to maintain a constant IOP during surgery and improved stability during procedures.

DORC EVA AVETA trocar cannula system

DORC EVA AVETA is a novel trocar cannula designed to improve control, performance and usability. It is the first system to feature the patent-pending Push-Fit infusion connection, plus a unique laser-etched retention feature. Benefits to surgeons and patients also include improved flow rates, smaller working size and more stable intra-operative IOP.

Completely redesigned cannula

Designed for enhanced surgical control, the cannula combines an MVR blade and chamfered leading edge for smooth insertion and optimized wound closure, with a laser-etched design for improved scleral retention.

HI-FLOW infusion line with innovative Push-Fit1 connection

Provides a secure, stable connection during surgery, eliminates the need for valve removal by fitting directly over the trocar cannula, maximizes flow rates across all gauges, and enables easy switching of infusion ports.

DORC TDC VELOCE

The next-generation high-speed cutter

The future of vitrectomy is at hand with DORC TDC VELOCE, the next-generation high-speed cutter for DORC EVA NEXUS that enables SMART IOP. DORC TDC VELOCE unites performance, stability, control, and a new ergonomic design with increased shaft stiffness for ease of reaching the periphery and shaving the vitreous base.

DORC TDC VELOCE was developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. med. Mitrofanis Pavlidis, Germany.

  • Improved aspiration flow

DORC TDC VELOCE provides improved aspiration flow rates compared to the TDC cutter: +14 % for 25G and +31 % for 27G, resulting in reduced vitrectomy time.3

  • Increased stiffness

For ease of reaching the periphery and shaving the vitreous base, stiffness of the shaft had been increased for all gauges (23G, 25G and 27G).

  • Cut speed up to 20.000 CPM2

The increased cut rate reduces tissue traction, while the TDC dual cutter design, perfectly complemented by VacuFlow VTi fluidics, makes vitrectomy more efficient.

LED endoillumination

DORC EVA NEXUS features a 3-port tunable system with yellow tinting for increased safe exposure times.

  • Adjustable blended yellow light
  • Increased safety profile for extended or complicated cases
  • Optimal 8 lumen output for 27G surgery

DORC EVA INICIO

Designed to offer precise delivery of microinjections (pressure delivery of ±1 PSI), with full surgeon control via footswitch.

Wireless dual linear footswitch

Customizable, programmable dual linear footswitch with independent control of aspiration and phaco power/cutting, with integrated laser control.

Universal cartridge and dual infusion and irrigation lines

  • An efficient, universal cartridge for vitrectomy or cataract procedures
  • Quick switching between anterior and posterior steps for on-demand dynamic response.
