Webinar Speaker

Speaker Dr. Torsten Rudolf ZEISS Research Microscopy Solutions

Dr. Torsten Rudolf is a solid-state physicist with a doctorate in infrared spectroscopy. He has been with ZEISS since 2010, initially supporting light microscopy applications in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. He later worked at the ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center in Germany, where he deepened his expertise and gained valuable insights into the broad field of microscopy.
Currently, Dr. Rudolf works an Application Specialist and Business Developer, supporting clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He has collaborated with academic institutions on materials science projects and provided support to industrial clients, often focusing on routine analyses (e.g., in metallography).
Dr. Rudolf is skilled in a wide range of microscopy techniques, from basic 2D to advanced 3D imaging, using both standard and specialized contrast methods such as Total Interference Contrast (TIC) enabling sub-nanometer vertical resolution. He also has expertise in image processing, AI-supported image analysis, and automation of complex workflows.
