Microscopic Workflow Solutions for Your Applications

Hosted by ZSW (Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg) in collaboration with ZEISS

From July 29-30, 2025 the ZSW (Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg) will be hosting this workshop on image analysis in battery research together with ZEISS. Take the opportunity and test the possibilities first hand together with our specialists. Starting with classical gray-scale based image analysis, we will move into the areas of analysis using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and DL (Deep Learning). All these techniques will be worked on using practical battery samples provided by ZSW.

In addition, ZEISS experts will introduce you to the underlying theory in detail in separate sessions, and you will get an overview of the wide range of connectivity workflows between light, X-ray, electron microscopes and CT systems. Following the program, you will also have the opportunity to analyze your own image data.

This workshop has a limited number of participants, which will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Key Learnings:

  • Uncover insights into non-destructive imaging techniques that provide a three-dimensional view of your samples by CT and XRM technology.
  • Gain valuable insights into the structural and chemical composition of materials with the help of Light and electron microscopy.
  • Explore the advantages of correlating microscopic tools to achieve best results without limiting yourself at the boundary of the scale bar
  • Understand how nower days Image analsyis tools can enhance data interpretation, streamline workflows, and uncover hidden patterns in your research.

This workshop presents a unique opportunity to advance your research and optimize your imaging capabilities with expert guidance.
