Microscopy and Image Analysis in Battery Research

Advanced Multi-Scale Imaging with AI

Exploring Advanced Multi-Scale Imaging, AI-Driven Analysis, and Integrated Microscopy Workflows

Exzellenzcluster POLiS (Post Lithium Storage) in collaboration with ZEISS

In collaboration with the Exzellenzcluster POLiS (Post Lithium Storage), ZEISS is pleased to host a workshop on microscopy and image analysis in battery research. Take the opportunity to explore a broad range of analytical possibilities firsthand alongside our specialists.

Focussing on advanced microscopy solutions tailored for battery analytics, high-resolution imaging of electrode structures, in-situ and operando methods, and scalable workflows that enable material characterization across multiple length scales—from the nanoscale up to complete cell assemblies.

Building on this foundation, the workshop will continue with image analysis including AI- and deep-learning–supported methods. You will also receive a comprehensive overview of connectivity workflows that integrate light, X-ray, and electron microscopy as well as CT systems, enabling seamless multi-modal analysis.

Seats are limited and spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

      Key learnings

      • Gain a comprehensive understanding of advanced microscopy solutions for battery research, including high-resolution, in-situ/operando, and multi-scale imaging workflows.
      • Understand how to integrate light, X-ray, electron microscopy, and CT systems through connected, multi-modal analysis workflow
      • Learn how to apply classical grayscale-based image analysis and progress toward AI- and deep-learning–supported evaluation methods.
