Light Microscopy

Superresolution Microscopy

@ Elyra 7

Superresolution microscopy enables insights into structures beyond the classical resolution limit. Since the introduction of Elyra 7, structured illumination microscopy (SIM) has been brought to a new level. This course will provide the skills to acquire Lattice SIM, PALM, and dSTORM data from specimens and will enable you to perform the appropriate processing.

Course Details

Description

Groundbreaking light efficiency empowers gentle superresolution imaging with incredibly high speed: to examine the fastest processes in living samples – in large fields of view, in 3D, over long time periods, and with multiple colors. Elyra 7 combines Lattice SIM with single molecule localization microscopy (SMLM) for techniques such as PALM, dSTORM and PAINT.

Topics of the course

Lattice SIM

  • Principle, acquisition and filtering
  • Versatility: SIM Mode, Leap Mode, Apotome Mode, Burst Mode
  • Camera alignment, channel alignment
