Yes. Both platforms offer flexible configurations that can support multiple microscopy techniques and laboratory workflows, including brightfield, phase contrast, polarization, and fluorescence options depending on the selected configuration.

Co-observation allows two or more people to view the same specimen simultaneously, supporting teaching, consultation, and collaborative review. Both Axiolab 5 and Axioscope 5 support flexible co-observation configurations, with Axiolab 5 supporting configurations for up to 11 viewers and Axioscope 5 supporting configurations for up to 20 viewers.

With Smart Microscopy and a compatible ZEISS camera, routine image documentation can be performed directly at the microscope without a separate PC. A single press of the Snap button captures a properly scaled, color-accurate image with metadata. Software-based imaging options are also available for workflows that require them.
