Even with our greatest efforts, every system will transition to best commercial effort support (BCE) after at least eight years of reliable service and maintenance.

But there‘s another option: Extend the guaranteed support for your electron microscope with our ZEISS Lifetime Extension upgrade. You‘ll keep your device from moving to BCE, future-proof your system and benefit from all service agreements.

    When you purchase a ZEISS microscope, you’ll get guaranteed product support for at least eight years. Once they’ve reached their end-of-sales point, our systems move past the production and active sales phases. This marks the beginning of two consecutive service phases: guaranteed support and best commercial effort support.

  • Guaranteed support

    8+ years

    Our guaranteed support provides eight years of specialised knowledge, spare parts, upgrades and reliable supply chains to keep your products operational. Nothing will stand in the way of using your ZEISS microscope, even years after purchase. Guaranteed support includes all the service agreements under our three-level maintenance concept – including the premium agreement.

  • Extended guaranteed support

    End of guaranteed support

    ZEISS Lifetime Extension extends your guaranteed support period while ensuring seamless software transitions and enhanced system capabilities. Avoid research interruptions and continue your cutting-edge work with advanced features designed to maximise the potential of your microscopes.

  • Best commercial effort support (BCE)

    2+years

    We can‘t guarantee the full restoration of your instrument’s original functionality as spare parts or technical resources may no longer be available. But we‘ll continue to offer spare parts (if available) for at least two more years to help maintain your system’s performance. We can‘t renew premium service agreements but will continue to offer the preventative and advanced ones.
