Fast Trigger Speed

The highly sensitive motion sensor precisely detects animal movements. The fast triggering time of the ZEISS Secacam (< 0.35 ~ 0.45 seconds) results in minimal motion blur for easier response. During triggering, the trail camera automatically adjusts the strength of the flash, which is invisible to animals and humans. This prevents incorrect exposures and minimizes energy consumption.

The videos are recorded at up to 30 fps (frames per second) and saved in mp4 format. We recommend 720p resolution. Although the 1080p resolution might result in a partially improved video quality, the video files will be larger and, accordingly, require much more space on the memory card. Sent videos are limited in resolution and recording length (480p | 10 seconds) and do not depend on the device settings in the menu.

  • A night vision image captured by ZEISS thermal imaging technology, revealing a wild boar and a badger in their natural forest habitat.

    Advanced Species-recognition

    Available from the Premium Plan

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based trail camera animal recognition is an advanced technology that allows you to automatically identify and classify animals in images. The images are then displayed sorted in the app gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions

ZEISS Trail Cameras
  • The ZEISS Secacam 3 no longer uses an SD card for storage but offers a user-friendly way to transfer your images and videos via a USB-C port. If you want to manually copy your media to an external device, simply connect a USB-C stick (formatted in FAT32) to the USB-C port on the bottom of the ZEISS Secacam 3 and select the "USB Transfer" menu option. You have three different transfer methods available:

    1. Folder Selection: The ZEISS Secacam 3 will display the media folders available on the camera's internal memory. The camera automatically creates a new folder after 1,000 captured media items, which are sorted by the date of capture. Navigate using the arrow keys to the desired folders, mark them for download with the "PLAY" button, and start the download with the "OK" button. Wait for the download to complete and then remove the stick.
    2. Date Selection: Use the arrow keys to select a time period and confirm your choice with the "OK" button. All images and videos captured during this period will now be transferred to the USB-C stick. Wait for the download to complete and then remove the stick.
    3. All Folders: If you choose this download method, all data from the camera's internal memory will be transferred to the USB-C stick. Please note that this can be very time-consuming.

    WARNING!
The more data you copy at once from the internal memory of the ZEISS Secacam 3 to an external device, the longer the copying process will take.
