ZEISS Conquest V4 Family of Second Focal Plane Riflescopes Updated with New Features

Illuminated reticle and new turret configurations for long-range shooting and hunting – Optimized engravings of user interfaces

Oberkochen/Germany | 6 March 2020 | ZEISS Consumer Products

ZEISS is optimizing the ZEISS Conquest V4 family for demanding target shooting and ambitious hunting. A total of eleven new models will be available starting from summer 2020. Each model utilizes the 30mm main tube construction.

In addition to seven versions of the V4 4-16x44 for maximum precision at the range and hunting during daylight and in the mountains, ZEISS is also offering four new options of the popular V4 6-24x50 models, the specialist for precision long-range shooting, even more user-friendly with smarter design.

New features offer greater flexibility and visibility for the ZEISS Conquest V4 range of high-performance riflescopes.

Enhancements Begin with a Multitude of Second Focal Plane Illuminated Reticles

Whether in glaring sunlight or at dusk, the new models of the tried-and-tested V4 riflescope family feature finely dimmable illuminated reticles for every conceivable application. Hunters that prefer a more traditional approach can select the reliable illuminated reticle 60, with its scaled-back, minimalist design, for the V4 in 4-16x44 and 6-24x50. It features a fine, dimmable illuminated dot, and is intuitive to use.

For extended range shooting, ZEISS will offer two new MOA-based smart reticle designs. The two dimmable illuminated reticles ZBi (available in 4-16x44 and 6-24x50 formats) and ZMOAi-20 (only available in 6-24x50) are the perfect choice – and only the center section of the reticle illuminates in order to avoid reticle flare in low-light.

The new ZMOAi-T30 (for the 4-16x44) and ZMOAi-T20 (for the 6-24x50) illuminated fine reticles open up new options for special applications: "ZEISS is releasing these illuminated thin line MOA smart reticles in response to customer requests for finer line subtensions, as required for target shooting and long-range. In other words, any application where you want to have only a very small area of your target covered by your reticle," says Hannes Weiler, Category Manager Hunting at ZEISS.

Optimized Elevation Turret and All-New External Locking Windage Turret for Speed and Precision

Quickly adjustable turrets with refined tactile feeling for rapid adjustment of both elevation and windage support the shooter in highly dynamic scenarios. Tactile and perfectly audible clicks offer additional reassurance and indicate any change in elevation and windage. Regardless of whether the shooting distance changes rapidly or crosswind affects precision – two versions of the popular V4 4-16x44 and three versions of the 6-24x50 offer plenty of choice when it comes to reacting quickly and meeting fast-changing challenges with a few swift clicks. All models with external elevation turrets incorporate ZEISS’s highly coveted Ballistic Stop, for an absolute and precise return to zero setting.

The advantages of the new external locking windage are obvious when a sporting or hunting rifle is carried in a backpack or transported in a rifle scabbard often found attached to a side-by-side or ATV – the external locking windage will remain locked with no margin for error. This external locking windage will be available for both the V4 4-16x44 and V4 6-24x50.

Users who prefer a riflescope without rapidly adjustable turrets can still choose from two versions of the V4 4-16x44 with illuminated reticle 60 and illuminated reticle ZBi. With these two models, elevation and windage are protected against unintentional adjustment by unobtrusive caps.

In addition to these improved functionalities, the new, optimized versions also come with bolder engravings that are easier to read. This allows hunters and shooters to always keep an eye on their critical settings even under stress and in difficult lighting conditions.

Optimum Image Brightness and Target Resolution

The ZEISS Conquest V4 line of high-performance riflescopes combines the tried-and-true ZEISS optics concept with a rugged and functional design. Equipped with a 4x zoom and the T* (T star) multi-layer coating from ZEISS, the models offer 90 percent light transmission for optimum image brightness and clear target resolution.

Availability

The ZEISS Conquest V4 4-16x44 and 6-24x50 with the new specifications will be available starting in the summer of 2020.
