Leadership change at ZEISS Spectroscopy

Effective November 1, 2026, there will be a leadership change at ZEISS Spectroscopy. After eight years at the helm of Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy GmbH, Dr. Christian Korth will pursue his career outside ZEISS at LINHARDT Group. Dr. Daniel Beck, currently Head of Strategy at ZEISS Photonics & Optics, will take over as head of the ZEISS business unit Spectroscopy and as Managing Director of Carl Zeiss Spectroscopy GmbH.

Dr. Christian Korth has been with ZEISS since 2015. Since 2018, he has been leading ZEISS Spectroscopy. Under his leadership, ZEISS Spectroscopy significantly expanded customer proximity by establishing the business areas Components, Agri / Food, and Thin Film, and a clear growth strategy was set.

With Dr. Daniel Beck taking over, an experienced strategy expert will lead ZEISS Spectroscopy. Dr. Beck has been with ZEISS since 2024 and was initially involved in Corporate Strategic Development before moving to Photonics & Optics as Head of Strategy. After earning his PhD at the Technical University of Munich in Accounting & Finance, he worked at Bain & Company in strategic consulting.

Dr. Beck will work with Dr. Korth over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition by November 1, 2026. “We are pleased to have secured an internal successor in Dr. Daniel Beck, who has already co-developed ZEISS Spectroscopy’s growth strategy and will be responsible for its implementation in the future,” said Oliver Luft.
