Business context

The laboratory of the future is highly automated, digitally networked, and designed for efficiency, reproducibility, and sustainability. Innovative analytical devices and new possibilities in digitalization are becoming an integral part of a networked, intelligent laboratory infrastructure. One example of this is the project with our client anvajo GmbH in Dresden.

anvajo GmbH was looking for an experienced software development partner specializing in healthcare and LabTech, proficient in agile working in a regulated environment, and experienced in taking innovative products to the next level.

Our mission

Secure connectivity for laboratory equipment

anvajo GmbH has developed a state-of-the-art laboratory analysis device and, together with us, has taken the next step in its further development and expanded market reach. The system was integrated into the cloud-based device control system of an OEM partner in order to optimize processes, tap into new target groups, and enable automated updates and tests. We supported anvajo in adapting specific product features and ensured secure networking, taking into account all the requirements of those involved.

Working closely together, our teams in Germany and Hungary optimized processes, set up a service infrastructure, and networked the systems effectively and securely, taking into account the requirements of all parties involved.

Our approach

In just under four weeks, we were able to put together a high-performing team and begin a joint concept phase, which aimed not only to understand the complex requirements, but also to familiarize ourselves with anvajo's technology platform and gain an in-depth understanding of the third partner's processes. From the start, a highly experienced team of requirements engineers, software architect, software engineers, data security specialists, test specialists were involved to provide anvajo with comprehensive support: from the initial technical review to the implementation and verification of the solution. We were also responsible for the entire test strategy and the execution of the tests. This end-to-end integrated approach laid a successful foundation for quickly moving from the project launch to the scaling of the project.

Result

We saw initial success after just a few sprints. The functionalities presented were high quality, had a high degree of maturity, and were reliably completed within the milestones. A key success factor was the integrated collaboration of the team consisting of the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and project managers, who effectively managed the complex project and stakeholder setup.

The project underscores how partnership-based collaboration can work—by combining the skills and strengths of partners and creating new forces that exceed the sum of their parts—to the benefit of companies, employees, and project success.
