ZEISS PENTERO 800 S successfully launched in China

Revolutionary Surgical Microscope Tailored for Diverse Clinical Needs

ZEISS Medical Technology announced today that the PENTERO^® 800 S has received National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) approval in China. This cutting-edge surgical microscope is specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of neuro and spine surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and ENT surgery. The ZEISS PENTERO 800 S offers Visual Certainty with enhanced optical capabilities, Seamless Performance with reinvented interactions, and Integrated Connectivity with leading digital solutions.

The development of ZEISS PENTERO 800 S is the result of three years of collaboration between ZEISS China and German R&D teams, culminating in its additional manufacturing in Suzhou, China. The launch marks a significant milestone of both ZEISS and Chinese market, as it is the first high-end surgical microscope developed and manufactured in China.

“The PENTERO 800 S provides a deeper depth of field, higher magnification and resolution, combined with 4K 3D digital technology. This will assist surgeons in extending optical capabilities at each step of the surgical procedure,” says Maxwell Liu, Head of Sales & Services of ZEISS MED China.

It leverages the advantages of an exoscope with 4K 3D resolution, optimizing team communication, ergonomic posture, and free movement. Furthermore, the Advanced Visualization System offers a multitude of options to assist surgeons during surgery for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
