ZEISS Microoptics develops display systems designed for integration directly into vehicle side windows.

Side windows can switch seamlessly between a transparent surface and an active display. When inactive, the glass remains identical to conventional automotive windows. When active, it becomes a high-resolution display surface for passenger entertainment or communication. This approach reduces the need for additional screens while preserving clean vehicle design.

Optical structures are manufactured using proprietary analogue processes at ZEISS, producing continuous microstructures without visible pixel patterns. Replication technologies support scalable production across different vehicle platforms while maintaining consistent optical quality for large-scale mobility programs.
