Oberkochen, Germany | 9 April 2026 | ZEISS Photonics & Optics

The ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 impresses with an optimal interaction of optical performance, ergonomics, and compactness. With ZEISS T* coating, high edge sharpness and a light transmission of 87 percent, it delivers bright, high‑contrast images even under difficult lighting conditions. The magnification range from 20x to 50x enables both a quick overview of the surroundings as well as precise detail recognition — making the spotting scope extremely versatile for use in nature, when observing birds and wildlife.

The new ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 is for everyone who is out in nature, for those who want to observe comfortably and flexibly over longer periods of time, who need optical precision in the details and fast orientation in the landscape, while relying on lightweight equipment.

The design has been consistently optimized for compactness and mobility – for example through reduced distances between optical elements, the use of aspherical designs, and a robust, lightweight aluminum‑magnesium mechanical construction.

Special focus on ergonomics

ZEISS places particular emphasis on ergonomics: the focus and zoom mechanisms operate quickly, precisely, and smoothly. The precision mechanics were developed with a focus on low weight. The positioning of the focus wheel in front of the tripod foot ensures optimal access and balanced weight distribution — for relaxed, stable observation even over longer periods of time.

With the new ZEISS Conquest Apia 65, we are introducing a high‑end spotting scope that combines compactness, performance, and flexibility in a completely new way. Outstanding optical performance, excellent ergonomics, and the compact, lightweight format are requirements that we offer in one device — and at an attractive price.

Accessories for greater flexibility, photography, and protection on the go

The system is complemented by suitable accessories to provide maximum flexibility. These include a control lever for comfortable one‑handed operation, a stay‑on case, and the ZEISS digiscoping adapter for connecting a smartphone to capture impressive images and videos, as well as tripods with Arca‑Swiss compatibility.

Convincing performance at a convincing price

With a length of just 299 mm, the ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 is the most compact product in its class and up to 25 percent shorter than comparable models. ZEISS also sets new standards in terms of weight, at only 1,350 grams.

Equally convincing is the recommended retail price of EUR 1,500 incl. VAT, for a premium‑class spotting scope. Compared to selling prices of ZEISS spotting scopes in this segment, the recommended price is a strong argument for everyone who loves nature and wildlife observation or birding.
