Cylindrical wraparounds: elegant und functional

Varese, Italy | 18. December 2023 | ZEISS Vision Care

The cylindrical wraparound goggles offer a futuristic design with frames practically hidden entirely from view. The colors and mirrors of the lenses are functional and fashionable, providing clear vision combined with maximum UV protection. A new feature for the year is the petroleum blue Triflection treatment (an ultra-thin, easy-to-clean, anti-drip, and anti-dirt coating) combined with the brown lens. Extremely elegant and unusual mirroring that does not alter the vision of the colors in the wearer's surroundings.

Interchangeable goggles with ZEISS Sonar

In addition to the colors already available in the collection of interchangeable goggles, the ZEISS ski goggles also have a new bright gold mirror finish and hydrophobic treatment which is applied to the brown lens. Additionally, the interchangeable lens comes as innovative orange ZEISS Sonar lens offering optimal visibility in all lighting conditions. ZEISS Sonar is a patented technology: an innovative color which, thanks to a specific spectral curve, acts as a blue attenuator, while still allowing a portion of blue light to reach the eye, thus improving snow vision.
Developed in the ZEISS Sunlens laboratories, Sonar significantly enhances the colors and brightness of the ski slope contour, in all lighting conditions. They make uneven ground such as bumps, depressions and other potential hazards easy to spot.

Unlike standard blue filters, the ZEISS Sonar special spectral curve suppresses blue light but at the same time allows some light to reach the eye – in the range between 380 and 500 nm. This allows the wearer to recognize uneven areas in the snow such as bumps and depressions, which can help to make skiing and snowboarding safer.

Finally, the junior ski goggles are designed for our younger sports enthusiasts with a cylindrical and wraparound shape, a gray lens with the application of the Super Blue or Multilayer Red mirror coating and, as from this year, customers can also choose the new, delicate yet bold, rose gold.

Highest optical quality, sophisticated ventilation and full UV protection

The ZEISS ski goggles collection is characterized by key elements that include its lenses, which evidently have a superior optical quality, with colors designed to provide a clear and sharp view of the surroundings by eliminating glare and improving contrast. A quality that is without any doubt essential when practicing winter sports in often variable lighting conditions. The functional and aesthetic treatments applied to ZEISS lenses are some of the most innovative on the market, designed to withstand fogging, dirt and scratches, creating flawless visibility in any situation.

The technology incorporated into this sports product extends well beyond the lenses. ZEISS ski goggles are equipped with a sophisticated ventilation system meticulously designed to prevent the lenses from fogging up. An essential feature for clear vision during cold, humid days in the mountains.

Shielding against the sun's rays is a paramount concern for ZEISS, and ski goggles are no exception. The lenses offer your eyes maximum protection from the mountain sun during your sports sessions.

Lightweight and comfortable structure for style and protection

The ZEISS ski goggles design is equally innovative; the shape is designed to fit seamlessly on the face, forming a protective barrier against the elements. Available in different styles and colors, they create an elegant and modern look for the wearer on the slopes. The lightweight and comfortable structure ensures that the goggles wrap snugly around the face without causing discomfort during prolonged use.

This product represents an excellent choice for individuals looking for high-end performance in the mountains. Both professional and amateur winter sport enthusiasts can rely on ZEISS's experience in the field of sun protection lenses, in order to benefit from clear vision and reliable protection on every descent.
