Available in different lens designs, engineered to meet your customers' individual lifestyle needs, ZEISS Single Vision lenses can be combined with a variety of premium ZEISS lens coatings. Developed based on daily visual habits and a deep understanding of how people's vision and minds are connected, ZEISS ClearMind uses ZEISS NeurOptix technology to provide extremely clear vision in key areas while minimising the impact of blur.² This helps reduce the cognitive load resulting in better focus and concentration.³

ZEISS Single Vision SmartLife lenses

Suitable for customers aged from as young as 6 years and older, who want sharper and more comfortable vision when switching between online and offline. Constantly being connected and on the move can be strenuous on the eyes. ZEISS Single Vision DriveSafe lenses

Ideal for customers who own one pair of glasses for everyday use. ZEISS Single Vision DriveSafe lenses offer better vision in low light conditions for safer and more comfortable driving. It also reduces glare at night from oncoming cars or streetlights.

ZEISS Single Vision Individual lenses

For tailor-made vision. Our ZEISS Individual lenses are customised freeform single vision lenses, precisely tailored to the needs of each individual wearer. The individualisation is symbolised by the personal engraving on the lens. ZEISS Individual Single Vision lenses take the wearer's position of wear parameters into account in the manufacturing process.

ZEISS Single Vision EnergizeMe lenses

Designed for customers who wear contact lenses, but also need spectacle lenses. Most customers don't want to choose between contact lenses or spectacle lenses – they would rather opt for both. 65% of contact lens wearers also enjoy wearing spectacles, especially for reading, watching TV, or using a tablet.⁵

ZEISS Single Vision EnergizeMe lenses

The first spectacle lenses designed to refresh eyes after prolonged periods of contact lens wear. The unique combination of a new lens design, innovative technology and a high-quality coating helps tired eyes to relax. In addition, it prevents eye strain caused by digital devices.

ZEISS ClearView RX Lenses

Bringing ZEISS optical excellence and freeform lens designs into standard RX single vision lenses. Flatter, thinner and improved optics in Single Vision Lenses with a very wide range of prescriptions and diameters.

Available in: Plastic 1.5, Plastic 1.6, Plastic 1.67, Plastic 1.74, Trivex^® 1.53, Polycarbonate 1.59. Including UVProtect, BlueGuard, PhotoFusion X, Polarised, AdaptiveSun, Tinted. All coating options available.
ZEISS Single Vision Sph lenses

Thanks to its spherical design, ZEISS Single Vision Lenses are often prescribed to correct ametropia; or it is used as single vision reading glasses. This lens design offers good optical performance for low prescriptions.

ZEISS Single Vision AS lenses

Single vision lens with an aspheric surface design. It displays a flatter front curvature and excellent visual quality. It is visibly flatter and thinner than a ZEISS Single Vision Sph lens with the same power, especially in the plus range. ZEISS Single Vision AS is recommended for lens wearers with high prescriptions.

ZEISS Single Vision Stock lenses (FSV)

A wide range of ZEISS Finished Single Vision lenses are available. These lenses include full UV protection up to 400 nm.

Single Vision (SV) lens designs

Standard - Spherical (SPH) SV lenses

Optimised by using only one free parameter in the lens radius.
Peripheral rays are more strongly refracted than rays at lens centre (spherical aberrations) resulting in optical compromise.
Any acceptably flat lens results in peripheral blur for the wearer.
Good - Aspherical (AS) SV lenses

Optimised by using five free parameters in one meridian.
One aspherical surface, usually on the front, but the back surface remains a simple toric (two spheres at 90°).
Provides optics similar to SPH, while improving on flatness.
When sph and cyl power increase, the same constraints result in increasing optical errors.
Better - Double Aspherical (DAS) SV lenses

Optimised using nine free parameters in two perpendicular meridians and blended in between.
Replaces the toric back surface of an AS with two aspherical shapes perpendicular to each other (atoric).
Improvement on an AS design, but blended area still compromises the optics.
Best - Freeform SV lenses

Point-by-point lens design optimisation using 700 free parameters for a highly complex lens surface.
The result is an SV lens that is both very flat and thin and achieves excellent optics – with clear viewing from the lens centre to the periphery.
