ZEISS EyeMag Medical Loupes are available with two types of optical systems: Galilean and Kepler optics. ZEISS EyeMag Medical Loupes with Galilean optical systems offer a large field of view and depth of field with basic magnification (2.0x-3.0x), ideal for light, everyday use. ZEISS EyeMag Medical Loupes with Kepler (prismatic) optical systems provide high contrast, stereoscopic images with higher magnification (3.2x-6.0x), making them better suited for procedures that require fine detail recognition and differentiation.

ZEISS EyeMag Classic, ZEISS EyeMag Smart and ZEISS EyeMag Smart TTL are equipped with the Galilean optical system.

The magnification options range from 2.0x and 2.5x for general use to 3.2x-6.0x for more detailed work. Flip-up medical loupes have the optical system mounted on the frame or headband and can be precisely repositioned or flipped up entirely when magnification is not needed, enabling quick transitions between magnified vision and direct eye contact with patients.
