HALOS®

A sensor that’s ready to integrate – and built to perform.

HALOS® delivers proven NIR performance with complete ZEISS technology and calibration.

  • Field-tested sensor platform for multi-application use
  • Full ZEISS technology stack: optics, electronics, software and calibration
  • Seamless integration with OEM systems and data networks
HALOS® technology stack

A complete platform, not just a component

One partner. One stack. No compromises.

HALOS® gives you more than a sensor – it delivers a fully integrated platform developed entirely by ZEISS. From optics and calibration to hardware, firmware, software and cloud services, every part is engineered to work together from the start. That means consistent results, minimal integration effort and full control across the lifecycle of your product. Calibration management and predictive maintenance are handled via the connected cloud service, ensuring reliable performance and long-term efficiency.

And because everything is developed in-house, you get a direct line to the experts behind the technology.

HALOS® benefits

Designed for the demands of machinery

Built tough, tested hard and made to last

HALOS® is engineered for real-world field conditions – dust, shock, vibration, temperature shifts and more. The rugged housing is fully sealed to IP6K9K, while the optical components are built to maintain accuracy over years of use. And with integrated diagnostics and predictive maintenance features, HALOS® supports long-term reliability – with less downtime and faster service.

One platform. Multiple applications.

HALOS® adapts across machines, use cases and configurations.
  • Forage harvester

Mount on the spout to monitor silage in real time and adjust cut length based on live dry matter readings.

  • Combine harvester

Capture continuous grain quality data, including protein, starch, oil and moisture – right at the elevator. HALOS® is suitable for use on both conventional combines and plot harvesters, supporting applications from plant breeding to harvest.

  • Slurry tanker

Install at the suction pipe or pump to measure nutrient levels in real time, helping optimize application.

  • Baler

Track crop condition and moisture to support bale consistency and feed planning on both stationary and mobile balers.

  • Feed mixer

The sensor is installed on the feed mixer and makes it possible to add supplementary feed efficiently during the mixing process.

The multi-use concept of new HALOS® NIR sensor from ZEISSS has won us over – whether for plot combine harvesters, forage harvesters with sample weighing units, or laboratory use. We're especially impressed by how quickly it can be reconfigured and how intuitive it is to operate.
