OcuPlan is an enabler of high quality, affordable and accessible private eye care to patients in the UK. Its service allows for one off optometrist referrals of patient OCT scans to a network of ophthalmologists, allowing for a timely second opinion that reduces traditional referral bottlenecks.

OcuPlan also provides a care model that enables patients to spread the cost of ongoing eye care monitoring through a fixed monthly payment. Designed primarily for patients with long-term eye conditions, care is delivered by the patient’s chosen optometrist and/or ophthalmologist. Patients benefit by receiving continuity of care with their trusted eye care professional.

Going forward, patients and eye care professionals will benefit from the combination of OcuPlan’s established care model with the global expertise, capabilities and resources of ZEISS Vision Care.

“By combining OcuPlan's entrepreneurial spirit and innovative service model with ZEISS expertise, technology and commitment to vision care, we have an exciting opportunity to build something truly meaningful for patients, eye care professionals and the wider optical industry.” says Matt Guilliatt, new Managing Director of OcuPlan and existing Finance and Legal Director of ZEISS Vision Care UK.

“We are extremely proud of this next step forward with ZEISS and hope to scale OcuPlan around the UK. Our underlying motto is ‘Eye Care, We Care’, and together with ZEISS we can help patients manage their long-term medical eye problems in an affordable and sustainable way.” explains Dan Calladine, Clinical Director and Founder at OcuPlan.

With an extensive network of opticians across the UK, ZEISS and OcuPlan will work together to explore opportunities to develop the service further, with a continued focus on patients, eye care professionals and long-term visual health.
