​​ZEISS appoints Jesper Wiegandt​ as CEO of ZEISS Vision Care

​​​Effective October 1, 2026, Jesper Wiegandt has been appointed CEO of ZEISS Vision Care. In this role, he assumes responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the business while also continuing to serve as acting Chief Commercial Officer of ZEISS Vision Care. He succeeds Sven Hermann who remains CEO of ZEISS Consumer Markets, and continues to lead the ZEISS Consumer Markets Board of Management.

​ZEISS Vision Care is one of the world's leading manufacturers of eyeglass lenses. As part of the ZEISS Consumer Markets segment, the company develops and manufactures comprehensive solutions for the entire value chain of ophthalmic optics. The portfolio includes top-quality eyeglass lenses, partner programs, ophthalmic instruments, services, digital solutions and apps for both eye care professionals and consumers, as well as care products for the eye and beyond.

​Jesper Wiegandt joined ZEISS in 2022 as Chief Marketing Officer for ZEISS Vision Care and was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in January 2026. During his tenure, he has played a key role in strengthening the ZEISS consumer brand, expanding brand awareness, and advancing the ZEISS Vision Care business.

​With extensive leadership experience in international consumer goods, Wiegandt brings deep expertise in consumer markets, brand development, and commercial strategy to his new role. Before joining ZEISS, he held international leadership positions at Procter & Gamble and later founded his own strategy and marketing consultancy business, advising global consumer brands on growth, brand development, and commercial excellence. Wiegandt has board experience, both past and current, as both chairman and non-executive director in leisure-, service- and consulting companies as well as several NGOs.
