Progressive myopia, which primarily affects children and adolescents, requires early and accurate diagnosis and appropriate management to reduce risk and speed of progression. With ZEISS MYO 200, ZEISS now offers a biometer dedicated to myopia management that combines precision, ease of use, and seamless connectivity. The device supports eye care professionals in providing effective myopia care for all.

Accurate and reliable measurements

ZEISS MYO 200 provides gold-standard measurements, making it reliable for myopia monitoring. Utilizing Partial Coherence Interferometry (PCI) technology derived from the proven ZEISS IOLMaster 500, ZEISS MYO 200 delivers repeatable measurements that support informed treatment decisions. The device incorporates patented telecentric technology that reduces dependency on precise head positioning and enhances measurement reliability. The core technology used in ZEISS MYO 200, PCI, has been validated by over 100 million scans worldwide. Extensive testing has demonstrated its durability, minimizing downtime and maintenance needs.

Fast and dedicated to myopia management

To help manage myopia, it’s important to measure and track axial length (a key indicator of eye growth) and the radius of the curvature of the cornea. Monitoring changes in axial length indicates how the eye is growing, while measuring corneal curvature gives additional insight into how the front surface of the eye contributes to its optical power. By tracking both parameters, eye care professionals gain a comprehensive understanding of myopia and its progression, enabling them to make informed decisions personalized to each patient. ZEISS MYO 200 improves efficiency by completing axial length and corneal radius measurements. A recent study shows that ZEISS MYO 200 can complete the measurements within 7.5 seconds - 23% faster than ZEISS IOLMaster 500.1  The reduced fixation time required for measurements contributes to a more efficient and pleasant experience for both operators and patients.

Simplified, intuitive operation

ZEISS MYO 200 enhances user experience and efficiency with its intuitive interface and workflow, making operation easy for all users. The device features a user-friendly, 10-inch touchscreen and a one-handed operating joystick, providing intuitive control, space efficiency, and precise operation. Users can choose between automatic and manual modes, offering flexibility for fast, one-click measurements as well as for handling challenging eye conditions like cataracts.

The automatic mode and guided interface streamline clinical workflows, ensuring that exams are fast, consistent, and easy, which is particularly beneficial for young patients. Features such as guided auto-alignment with traffic light positioning also assist eye care professionals with limited biometry experience in delivering reliable results. This efficiency frees up more time to focus on patient care rather than technical steps. Practices using ZEISS MYO 200 may drive double-digit growth in overall myopia management business.2

Full connectivity

ZEISS MYO 200 offers seamless integration, effortlessly connecting with both ZEISS and non-ZEISS systems. ZEISS MYO 200 can connect with solutions like VISUCONSULT 500 and other devices in the ZEISS ecosystem, enabling efficient and secure data transfer. This connectivity ensures that measurement data is shared automatically, eliminating the need for manual entry. With just one click, results are transferred directly into the existing software of the practice, saving time and reducing errors. This integration guides eye care professionals step-by-step to facilitate a smooth workflow, from patient intake to centration and lens ordering.

The myopia-specific workflow is enhanced by ZEISS MyoConsult, available as a module within ZEISS VISUCONSULT 500 or as a standalone solution. This platform enables practitioners to manage the entire myopia consultation within one intuitive ZEISS interface. With ZEISS MyoConsult, eye care professionals can easily interpret results, track myopia progression, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and generate clear, patient-friendly reports.

ZEISS MYO 200 was first launched in Hong Kong and China and will gradually be offered in other markets globally.
