Purpose Through Precision

Sales

In the heart of Mexico City, where modernity meets tradition, Guadalupe is redefining what it means to be in Sales at ZEISS. As Clinical Applications Specialist and Product Manager for Dental Microscopy at ZEISS, she doesn’t just represent high-precision technology, she delivers education, experience, and empathy to every future dentist and clinician she supports. Her journey to this role wasn’t linear, it was deeply personal. Growing up in Paseo de la Reforma as the youngest of five siblings, Guadalupe faced unimaginable challenges early in her life. Diagnosed with leukemia at age 12, she spent three years receiving chemotherapy while also mourning the loss of both her parents, her father to Parkinson’s disease and her mother to cancer. Raised by her siblings, she emerged from this loss not with bitterness, but with a mission: to help others, especially those in the medical space. Today, Guadalupe has been cancer-free for almost two decades and that experience fuels her drive. “I don’t want pity,” she says. “I want to inspire and I choose to live each day with a grateful heart.”

Tailoring Solutions to Specific Needs

At ZEISS, she brings that gratitude and precision to everything she does. Guadalupe leads technical sales and product education for ZEISS dental microscopes and magnification glasses, specifically the Extaro 300 and OPMI Pico. These aren’t your typical tools off the shelf tools, they are advanced optical systems that require deep product knowledge, skilled technical training, and the ability to tailor solutions to each clinician’s unique needs.
Guadalupe isn’t just selling microscopes; she’s transforming how dentistry is practiced in Mexico. Guadalupe is also deeply involved in pre- and post-sales support. She ensures that her students and clinicians understand the value of optical magnification in endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics, and how these tools can help them improve outcomes, reduce fatigue, and grow their practices. This is a complex, highly consultative sales process, and she manages it almost entirely solo as the only dental-focused Product Manager at ZEISS Mexico.

Technical precision is everything. If the first experience with our product isn’t right, if it’s uncomfortable or unclear, we could lose the sale. I make sure every specialist feels confident, capable, and cared for.

The Human Part: Responsibility with Heart

Guadalupe’s story is not just about sales; it’s about serving her community. ZEISS has given her something no other employer had before: a true platform for social impact. In Mexico City, she implemented a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and leads initiatives that continue to expand. ZEISS now participates in Children’s Day toy drives for kids with cancer, returning to the same hospitals Guadalupe once visited as a patient, and a bottle-cap donation program (“Your Caps Save Lives”) that supports Casa de la Amistad to fund pediatric cancer care. Through cross-functional community service efforts, she also brings ZEISS colleagues together, fostering deeper connection and shared purpose.

Vision for the Road Ahead

Guadalupe hopes to one day lead a team as a PC Manager continuing to grow within ZEISS, with the potential to expand into new business units like ophthalmology or other areas of microsurgery. With her educational background at UNAM National Autonomous University of Mexico, a master’s degree in health administration at the National University of La Roja in Mexico and over five years of experience in dental technologies, she’s well equipped for the next level.

But no matter how high she climbs; she’ll never lose sight of why she started. “Sales is about more than numbers. It’s about people. When I help a doctor feel more confident, or a student discover their passion for dentistry, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.”

After everything she’s faced, the loss, the illness, the rebuilding, she lives by this belief: “Walk in someone else’s shoes and be the light you once needed.” Because for Guadalupe, technical precision and human compassion aren’t opposites, they are partners. And through her work at ZEISS, she’s bringing both into focus.
