Example applications

  • Darkfield Composite Contrast image (up) and fluorescence image (down) of brainstem 80 µm-thick sections
  • LLC-PK1 cells expressing mCherry fused to histone H2B were seeded into the wells and analyzed with the Bio Applicaltion Module Cell Counting.
  • Immune cell segmentation and quantification in heart tissue sections of zebrafish.
  • Kidney section
  • Overview image provided by the AI Sample Finder
  • Darkfield Composite Contrast image (up) and fluorescence image (down) of brainstem 80 µm-thick sections

Darkfield Composite Contrast image (left) and fluorescence image (right) of brainstem 80 µm-thick sections. Labeling of excitatory neurons with GFP (nuclear), and signal amplification with anti-GFP and Alexa 488-conjugated secondary antibodies, counterstained with anti-ChAT (motor neurons) and Alexa 647-coupled secondary antibodies.

  • LLC-PK1 cells expressing mCherry fused to histone H2B were seeded into the wells and analyzed with the Bio Applicaltion Module Cell Counting.

Quantifying cell numbers upon different treatment conditions in a 96 well plate. LLC-PK1 cells expressing mCherry fused to histone H2B were seeded into the wells and analyzed with the Bio Applicaltion Module Cell Counting.

Immune cell segmentation and quantification in heart tissue sections of zebrafish. Immune cells are labeled in red (segmentation yellow) and muscle tissue in green (light blue in segmentation).

  • Kidney section

Kidney section. IHC stained with Cy3 (red), anti-GFP antibody stained with Alexa 488(green), nuclei stained with DAPI (blue).

  • Overview image provided by the AI Sample Finder
Sample courtesy of M. Schmidt, Institute of anatomy. Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus, TU Dresden, Germany.

The overview image provided by the AI Sample Finder is ideally suited for navigation and orientation. You can use additional imaging modalities like fluorescence (A) to overlay the Darkfield Composite Contrast image (B) of the AI Sample Finder. Other methods like the Coherence Contrast (C) or a combination of fluorescence and Coherence Contrast (D) are possible too. Forget about assignments issues after image acquisition. With the AI Sample Finder you always know in which sample region your experiment was conducted and how the surrounding environment looked like.
