At the UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC) in Dubai, ZEISS Medical Technology is presenting its advanced portfolio of medical loupes and dental microscopes, which support precise work in dental procedures. ZEISS visualization solutions provide a wide range of magnification and well-illuminated surgical fields, relieve eye strain, and also promote an upright seating position.

“Our solutions aim to improve the quality of patient care in dental practices. At the same time, our medical loupes and surgical microscopes can help dentists work more comfortably and pursue their profession in the long term,” says Christoph Schaeff, Head of the Dental Business Sector at ZEISS Medical Technology.

Medical Loupes with ZEISS Optics

Medical loupes enlarge the field of view, thereby supporting the accuracy and safety of dental procedures – from prophylaxis to endodontics to surgery. At AEEDC in Dubai, ZEISS is presenting its enhanced portfolio of medical loupes. The EyeMag® Family from ZEISS enables precise visual presentation of minute details, thanks to high-quality ZEISS optics. With functional designs and a wide range of working distances, ZEISS medical loupes also promote an upright, natural posture.

ZEISS OPMI PROergo: Precision for Microdentistry

With state-of-the-art visualization solutions, dentists can achieve optimal results – for example, in apicoectomy procedures where inflammation in the smallest canals should be identified. The ZEISS OPMI PROergo supports precision in microdentistry by providing clear visibility of regions that are otherwise difficult to view: The dental microscope features an integrated Varioskop® that offers a large field of view at every magnification and, in combination with the Foldable Tube f170/f260, enables maximum flexibility in visualization – even with extremely angled positions. The coaxial illumination provides homogenous, high-contrast illumination of the treatment field and offers a light temperature characteristic of natural daylight, ensuring that even narrow root canals are effectively illuminated and visualized.

ZEISS EXTARO 300: Seamless Workflow for Microscope-Assisted Dentistry

For precise procedures that require fine hand-eye coordination, an ergonomic seating position and optimal visibility of the surgical field are crucial. The ZEISS EXTARO 300 provides all of this. The multifunctional Mode Control ensures uninterrupted workflows: the dental microscope can be operated with one hand, and visualization and capture modes, as well as focus and lighting settings, can be activated with only one finger. This allows dentists to keep everything in view without leaving their preferred ergonomic working position.

ZEISS offers various iOS‐ and web‐based apps to support the usage of ZEISS EXTARO 300 – from digital patient communication over an efficient documentation workflow to professional peer collaboration. For instance, the ZEISS Connect App enables the digital management of treatment data and the integration of dedicated functionalities into existing dental office IT infrastructure. “I record every single surgery I do on my EXTARO 300 and show the patient afterwards. It`s really a beautiful tool for communication. I think for any clinician to be satisfied in their work, doing the absolute best for patients is key. With the EXTARO 300 I am able to accomplish that goal,” Dr. Jon P. Irelan, Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin (USA).

Visit ZEISS at the AEEDC in Dubai #E01 in Hall 7 and engage with experts who use the ZEISS EXTARO 300 in their clinical practice:

  • Dr. Tetsuya Uchiyama will discuss a new technique for proximal restoration with composite using the ZEISS dental microscope and rubber dams.
  • Dr. Marc Habib will talk about the benefits of microscopic magnification in endodontics.

ZEISS will present its solutions for dentistry at AEEDC in Dubai from January 19 to 21, 2026 in Hall 7 #E01.
