- Le glioblastome multiforme (GBM) est la principale tumeur cérébrale primitive maligne chez l'adulte. La quasi-totalité des GBM présentent une récidive, le risque le plus élevé se situant dans le lit tumoral.
- Au terme du protocole de traitement standard du GBM primitif, la durée de survie sans évolution locale est de 7 mois en moyenne, avec un taux global de survie d'environ 15 mois.
- INTRAGO est la première étude de phase I/II sur l'augmentation des doses pour les nouveaux diagnostics de GBM, portant sur l'ajout de la radiothérapie peropératoire (RTPO) au traitement standard par radio-chimiothérapie pour les GBM récemment diagnostiqués, avec utilisation du dispositif INTRABEAM® de Carl Zeiss Meditec AG.
