ZEISS has introduced the new ZEISS METROTOM 800 320 kV, a cutting-edge CT system that elevates the speed and precision of measuring complex components made from high-density materials. This system allows companies to significantly enhance efficiency and reduce costs through rapid measurements and exceptional accuracy.

Reduced Scan Times, Increased Productivity

Thanks to its powerful 320 kV X-ray source and sophisticated system design, the ZEISS METROTOM 800 320 kV reduces scan times by up to 75% compared to other METROTOM systems. This leads to faster results, higher throughput, and lower operating costs. Continuous X-ray tube operation without cooling phases further enhances productivity and minimizes downtime.

Highest Precision for Reliable Quality Assurance

The high tube voltage (320 kV, 500 W) and a minimum focal spot size of only 7 µm ensure excellent image quality and reliable measurement accuracy. Companies benefit from precise and reliable quality assurance that meets the highest industry standards (VDI/VDE 2630 1.3). This system provides significant competitive advantages, particularly in demanding medical technology, electronics, aerospace, and electromobility sectors.

Maximum Flexibility for a Wide Range of Applications

ZEISS METROTOM 800 320 kV is ideal for inspecting a wide range of components with a height of up to 470 mm, a diameter of up to 500 mm, and a weight of up to 50 kg. Its applications include:

  • Reliable quality control of complex electronic assemblies
  • Accurate measurement of cobalt-chrome or titanium medical implants
  • Analysis of additive manufactured metal components (e.g., Inconel)
  • Inspection of critical components in electric vehicles, such as battery stacks and stators

Easy Operation Saves Time and Resources

The intuitive software ZEISS INSPECT X-Ray combines data acquisition, evaluation, and analysis in a single application. This simplifies the onboarding process and significantly reduces the training required. Additionally, ZEISS Automated Defect Detection (ZADD) module employs AI to automatically detect critical defects, enhancing efficiency and minimizing personnel effort.
