At a Glance
-
ZEISS VISUREF 1000 is a multifunctional refraction device that integrates classic wavefront autorefraction with advanced technologies for comprehensive eye care. It features a fundus camera, tonometer, and essential monitoring tools for both anterior and posterior segments of the eye. It also offers a full range of clinical applications: From cornea to retina, it can detect major defects and pathologies like dry-eye, keratoconus, cataract, glaucoma, nevus, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal hemorrhage.
-
The device offers anterior as well as posterior segment analyses.
Anterior segment analysis
- Advanced objective refraction: Through Shack-Hartmann wavefront technology, ZEISS VISUREF 1000 provides objective day and night refraction measurements and enables the measurements of lower-order and higher-order aberrations.
- Corneal topography: ZEISS VISUREF 1000 evaluates and monitors corneal pathologies like dry eye disease and keratoconus, utilizing Shack-Hartmann wavefront technology combined with topographer Placido rings and an external color camera.
- Eye transparency and shape: Shack-Hartmann wavefront technology combined with topographer Placido rings, a Scheimpflug camera and a retro illumination capacity allows for the visualization of lens opacities to examine and monitor cataract.
Posterior segments analysis
- Glaucoma: ZEISS VISUREF 1000 provides data such as tonometry, iridocorneal angles, fundus, and cup to disc ratio to identify patients with possible glaucoma through a fundus camera, a Scheimpflug camera and an integrated tonometer.
- Retinal pathologies: Eye care professionals can screen the consumer’s retina using the fundus camera.
