ZEISS CALYPSO 2025: Elevating Measurement Precision

The new release of ZEISS CALYPSO features advancements that significantly improve Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) measurement tasks and elevate user experience.

Enhanced GD&T functions support the latest standards more effectively, allowing for quick and precise application of specifications given by the technical drawing. This advancement not only maximizes efficiency but also ensures that measurement results are always accurate and compliant.

New dialogues offer customizable optimization levels, for example during CAD imports, facilitating tailored workflows to meet specific needs. A novel import function simplifies the creation of inspection plans, saving valuable time and effort.

The upgraded CALYPSO Planner significantly enhances simulation accuracy, reduces downtime and increases productivity across operations by preparing measurement tasks on an independent workstation that is not directly connected to a CMM.

ZEISS CALYPSO also optimizes system operation. For example, the innovative SoftTouch Mode for CMM sensors introduces the option to switch between performance and accuracy for the measurement of small or flexible structures, cutting measurement time by up to 40%, achieving faster results without compromising quality.

Christoph Grieser, Head of Global Software Sales at ZEISS IQS, emphasizes, “ZEISS CALYPSO’s enhancements improve functionality and user experience, ensuring clients meet their quality control goals with confidence.”

In addition to ZEISS CALYPSO, ZEISS IQS is excited to present the latest release of ZEISS GEAR® PRO software for gear measurement. This version includes certified evaluation algorithms that are guaranteed not to lead to measurement uncertainties. Users will benefit from new extensions that enhance the evaluation of various gear profiles and improve overall reporting capabilities. ZEISS GEAR® PRO turns a ZEISS CMM into a perfect specialized solution for high-precision gear measurement.

ZEISS PiWeb: Transforming Data Collaboration and Analysis

ZEISS PiWeb 2025 R2 is a powerful update of the data management software designed to improve collaboration and streamline data analysis efficiency for teams. This release focuses on empowering users to make informed decisions faster and more effectively based on measurement results. It introduces seamless report sharing via PiWeb Monitor, allowing direct email notifications to enhance collaboration on interactive reports and keep teams informed. In combination with the browser app, it supports data access from anywhere, fostering productivity. Customizable notifications ensure that task assignments reach the right team members. Enhanced PiWeb Monitor features include visualized CAD dimensions and dynamic line plots, simplifying complex data interpretation for quicker decision-making and effective quality assurance.

Christoph Grieser emphasizes, “PiWeb’s enhancements streamline data handling and collaboration, solidifying our commitment to robust quality assurance tools.”
