Due to the high performance, torque, and speed of shafts, the rotor must meet very tight form and concentricity tolerances that require thorough inspection.

The speed, weight, and dimensions of the shaft are crucial for effective torque transfer. In turbine applications, the shaft can be utilized in either low or high-speed scenarios, serving as the main shaft for the drivetrain or in various stages of a gearbox.

The dimensions of the parts being inspected can vary significantly, ranging from small components to large-scale pieces. Accurate measurement and repeatability are essential, particularly for larger dimensional parts, to ensure reliability and efficiency in operation.
