Precision and safety for efficient generators
Generators can be found in a variety of locations and sizes to produce electricity. The goal is to efficiently convert rotational energy into electricity. Depending on the range of designs and types, tight tolerances between the stator and rotor as well as mounting clearances for electrical safety must be ensured for safe and optimum operation.

The challenge
Tight tolerances and minimal air gaps between the stator and rotor are crucial for optimal performance. Achieving part accuracy across every dimension, along with maintaining minimum distances and dimensional precision, is essential. This applies to a wide range of applications, from small series production to large-scale and unique designs.

Our solution
High-precision coordinate measuring machine (CMM) systems are the preferred solution for measuring individual components. The ZEISS PRISMO and ZEISS CONTURA models are ideal for smaller parts, while the ZEISS MMZ Family caters to larger components.
For housing and other large structural parts, advanced optical measurement systems such as the ZEISS ATOS LRX, ATOS 5, and T-SCAN Hawk 2 are effective for full surface measurements, particularly after casting and in shop floor environments.
Additionally, ZEISS Microscopy Solutions offer high-resolution imaging and material analysis, enabling precise examination of defects and contamination.
