Optimized lens constants for the ZEISS IOLMaster

Optimization of lens constants is often recommended for accurate IOL power calculation1. Such optimized constants for the calculation of intraocular lens power are published by IOLCon (Steinbeis Vision Research) on their website (https://iolcon.org/). These constants are based on actual surgical data and are provided by IOLCon as a starting point for individual constant optimizations.

IOL constants can be entered manually into the ZEISS IOLMaster or imported from the file provided below. This file is a compilation of commonly used IOLs with their constants and available powers.2

Download the IOL constants onto the following media:

  • CD R(W) for ZEISS IOLMaster version 4.xx
  • USB flash drive for ZEISS IOLMaster 500 and ZEISS IOLMaster 700

Import IOL constants into the ZEISS IOLMaster

Please insert the USB flash drive or CD-R(W) into the ZEISS IOLMaster. The download file is in .zip or .upt format. Do not unzip this file. Follow the instructions in the ZEISS IOLMaster User Manual to import the IOL constants.

The file is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranty. No warranty is given for the file's suitability for a particular purpose and the data's freedom from errors.
The file provides IOL constants that are taken directly from third party websites or other publicly available sources.
Furthermore, the file provides IOL design factors and some lens factors, which are not publicly available and, thus, cannot be verified by the user; such parameters are either directly provided by Carl Zeiss Meditec AG or its affiliates (CZM) or taken from non-public sections of the APACRS website’s Barrett Calculators or from other non-public sources ("Non-Public Parameters").
All third party constants and third party Non-Public Parameters are provided without any legal responsibility by Carl Zeiss Meditec AG or its affiliates (CZM). Customer acknowledges that CZM has not validated, verified or otherwise confirmed that they are correct or appropriate for IOL implantation.
Customer is responsible for verifying the validity of the constants and Non-Public Parameters Customers choses to import ("Imported Constants"). This may include confirming that the values of the Imported Constants are at parity with the respective manufacturers' information. CZM's liability for any personal injury or equipment damage (e.g., caused by computer virus transmission) arising from or associated with the import and subsequent use of the Imported Constants shall be limited to gross negligence and wrongful intent.
(Not all products, services or offers are approved or offered in every market and approved labeling and instructions may vary from one country to another. For country specific product information, see the appropriate country website.)
Customer assumes all responsibility for subsequent uses of the Imported Constants, including use by other surgeons and clinical staff. To the extent permitted by law, CZM shall not be liable for any direct or consequential damages arising from the use of this database.
